Terms of Service
Last updated 14 October 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and WHAM (“WHAM”, “we”) for the WHAM apps and website at wham.social. By creating an account or using WHAM you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who can use WHAM
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Give accurate information.
2. Your content
You own what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute and promote it inside WHAM (including in trends and search) so the service can work. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people have already shared or quoted, and routine backups. You are responsible for what you post, and you promise you have the right to post it.
3. Rules
You must follow the Community Guidelines. In short, do not post anything illegal, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers children; do not harass, threaten or impersonate others; do not post spam, scams or deliberately false information that could cause harm; do not manipulate trends with fake accounts or coordinated posting; and do not misuse emergency alerts. Do not try to break, scrape or overload the service, or access other people's accounts.
4. No tolerance for objectionable content
We do not allow objectionable content or abusive users. You can report any post or account in the app. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, suspend or permanently remove accounts, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. You can also block any account.
5. Verification and official accounts
A badge means we checked the identity or role of the account (for example a government body, institution, news organisation, organisation or public figure) against the evidence provided. It does not mean WHAM agrees with, or has checked the truth of, what that account says. We may refuse, remove or change a badge at any time, including when the information provided is false or no longer true. Only approved government and public-institution accounts that we have separately authorised may send emergency alerts, and misuse will lead to removal of that ability and of the account.
6. Neutrality
WHAM does not rank posts by political viewpoint and does not give official accounts extra reach in ordinary feeds. Trends are calculated from public activity and are not an endorsement.
7. News
News items are published by approved news organisations or shown with a link to their source. We are not responsible for third-party sites or articles you open from WHAM.
8. Our rights
The WHAM name, logo, apps and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, revocable licence to use the service. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account whenever you like from Settings in the app or at wham.social/delete-account. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or the law. You can appeal a moderation decision by contacting us at prathamagg02@gmail.com or through the in-app appeal option when it is offered.
10. Disclaimers and liability
WHAM is provided “as is”. Content is posted by users and we do not guarantee it is accurate, lawful or safe, and we do not guarantee the service will always be available or error-free. In emergencies, always contact the official services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content posted by users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Continuing to use WHAM after a change means you accept it. Contact: prathamagg02@gmail.com.
